all your pyrex are EXPLODE to us...

last night, while cooking meatloaf, baked chicken, macaroni and cheese, mixed vegetables, and mashed potatoes for the bitches PEOPLE in my house, the pyrex dish i had the chicken in spontaneously exploded in the oven. it had been in there long enough to cook the food, and i was checking it to make sure it was time to come out. about 15 seconds after i opened the door, it just shattered, throwing bits of hot, tempered glass all over me, the kitchen, and the inside of the oven.

i don't have any cuts, just a few scratches and scrapes, and i had to wait until this morning for the oven to cool off enough that i could get the glass out. my friend nick suggested that the cold and hot combination could have caused it, but it's been pretty nice around here lately, and the air hasn't come on; not to mention the fact that the kitchen, itself, is hotter than most any other room in this house, (save for the room i'm in now, which is always the same temperature as it is outside...)

i'd love to have something more interesting to say right now, but i'm kinda tapped out. between cooking, washing, and cleaning, nothing noteworthy has happened, and even if it did, it'd take me a couple days to getting around to writing about it.
